Since the disease was first recognized, dramatic advances have been made in both our understanding and treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Here, Emili Montserrat, MD, PhD, from the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, discusses the progress made over the years from his life in CLL research. Prof. Monserrat also covers the efforts of the European Research Initiative on CLL (ERIC) to initiate and expedite further progress in the field. This interview took place at the ERIC International Meeting 2018, held in Barcelona, Spain.
