Here, Brian Koffman, MDCM, DCFP, DABFM, MS Ed, Founder and Medical Director of the CLL Society and CLL patient, discusses the factors that influence patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) when making decisions about their treatment. Dr Koffman discusses the key outcomes of a survey of over 1,000 patients, which identified the opportunity to improve the way patients are educated on clinical trial opportunities. Speaking at the American Society of Hematology (ASH) 2018 Annual Meeting and Exposition in San Diego, CA., Dr Koffman hopes that the implications of the study can lead to more tailored patient care.
