Claudio Cerchione, MD, PhD, Istituto Scientifico Romagnolo per lo Studio e la Cura dei Tumori (IRST) IRCCS, Meldola, Italy, discusses the role of the combination of FDG-PET CT plus whole-body MRI for staging newly diagnosed and relapsed/refractory (R/R) multiple myeloma (MM). Dr Cerchione believes that this combination of imaging tools should be used in routine clinical practice to optimize patient diagnosis and subsequent treatment.
