COMy 2016 | Highlights from COMy and how to reset the immune system in multiple myeloma

Paul Richardson, MD of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA discusses the advances in multiple myeloma (MM) reported at the 2016 World Congress on Controversies in Multiple Myeloma (COMy) with Vivien de Gunzburg, Founder of the de Gunzburg Myeloma Research Foundation (DGMRF). This video is part of a series of videos on Vivien de Gunzburg’s patient story and work in the field of MM; he was diagnosed with MM 13 years ago and Dr Richardson has been part of his care team. Dr Richardson explains that the talks on immunotherapy were his highlight while Vivien de Gunzburg highlights the diversity of research that has been covered at COMy. They also talk about the role of and questions around the immune system in MM, allogeneic stem cell transplantation and drugs such as melphalan and lenalidomide.
