Josep-Maria Ribera, MD, PhD, Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital, Barcelona, Spain, discusses the potential of next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based measurable residual disease (MRD) assessment in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Prof. Ribera highlights that combining NGS-MRD assessment with the genetic basis of the disease may help guide treatment selection and support the use of targeted therapies in specific ALL subtypes. This interview took place at the 14th Annual Meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO 2026) in Houston, TX.
