Elisabetta Abruzzese, MD, PhD, S. Eugenio University Hospital, Rome, Italy, discusses various situations that may arise with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) during pregnancy. Dr Abruzzese comments on how to approach patients who discover CML during pregnancy and patients who become pregnant while already having established disease, and further summarizes appropriate treatment strategies for each of these scenarios.
