ASH 2022 | Evaluating the suitability of sHLH diagnostic criteria in adults

Catherine Broome, MD, Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC, briefly comments on the results of a retrospective study that investigated whether the currently available criteria for secondary hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (sHLH) are suitable for diagnosing adult patients. Dr Broome explains that this retrospective study suggests many affected adults may be missed under the currently used criteria. This interview took place at the 64th ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition congress in New Orleans, LA.
