Urvi Shah, MD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York City, NY, shares some insights into the importance of lifestyle medicine, which has been established in many specialties and is being increasingly explored in oncology. Dr Shah explains how diet impacts the gut microbiome, which can directly influence the outcomes of patients with various cancers, and further discusses the value of bringing lifestyle medicine into clinical practice.
