In this video, Thomas J Kipps, MD, PhD, UC San Diego, Moores Cancer Center, La Jolla, CA, discusses the challenges of treating patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) effectively with CAR-T cell therapy. Dr Kipps first comments on the importance of patient selection for CAR-T therapy, the challenges of managing therapy-related toxicities, and then goes on to discuss ongoing studies in this space and the promise of CAR-T cells in the treatment of CLL. This interview took place at the Tenth Annual Meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO) held in Houston, TX.
