CAR-T Meeting 2024 | Engineering molecular ON- and OFF-switches for controlling CAR T-cells

Charlotte Zajc, PhD, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria, explores the engineering of molecular ON- and OFF-switches to regulate CAR T-cells. Utilizing small molecule drugs, these switches can effectively modulate cytokine secretion, cytotoxicity, and CAR signaling. This strategy aims to prevent T-cell exhaustion and enhance the persistence of CAR T-cell therapies. This interview took place at the EBMT-EHA 6th European CAR T-cell Meeting in Valencia, Spain.
