Felipe Prosper, MD, PhD, University of Navarra, Pamplona, Spain, discusses research into the role of the immune microenvironment in multiple myeloma. Artificial intelligence (AI) and computational programs have been used to identify immune signatures that may be associated with progression from smoldering multiple myeloma (SMM) or monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) to active disease.
