Emma Searle, MBChB, MA, MRCP, FRCPath, PhD, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester, UK, presents emerging strategies to overcome menin inhibitor resistance in patients with relapsed/refractory (R/R) acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Dr Searle explains that as venetoclax, azacitidine and menin inhibitors move into the frontline setting, fewer options remain at relapse. She highlights multiple approaches under investigation, including menin inhibitor plus FLT3 inhibitor doublets, menin inhibitors with donor lymphocyte infusion after allogeneic stem cell transplant (alloSCT), and novel partners such as mezigdomide and prifetrastat. This presentation took place at the 8th International Workshop on Acute Leukemias (iwAL) in Cambridge, MA.
