Adrian Mosquera Orgueira, MD, PhD, University Hospital of Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña, Spain, provides an overview of a machine learning approach to improve prognostication in patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL). By using histological data to enhance the current MCL International Prognostic Index (MIPI) scoring system through machine learning, an improvement was seen in traditional MIPI scoring. This may be of use in the future for improving risk-adapted therapies. This interview took place at the 65th ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition, held in San Diego, CA.
