Pier Luigi Zinzani is Associate Professor of Haematology at the Institute of Haematology “L. e A. Seràgnoli” at the University of Bologna. Having graduated in Medicine and Surgery, he the continued on to obtain a speciality in Haematology at the University of Bologna, after which he was awarded a Fellowship in Medical Physics at the Roger Williams Cancer Center, Providence, USA.
Prof. Zinzani is a member of the Italian Society of Haematology, the Italian Society of Experimental Haematology, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and has presented his research at more than 200 national and international meetings. He has written more than 380 peer-reviewed articles, specifically within the areas of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL), non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHLs), and hairy cell leukaemia (HCL).
Professor Zinzani’s current research interests include clinical trial methodology, prognostic factors in NHL, HL, HCL, chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, and new drug development.
