Academic history

Nirav Niranjan Shah, MD, MSHP, obtained his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago, IL, in 2008 and completed an internal medicine internship and residency program at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA, in 2011. Dr Shah also completed a fellowship in hematological oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, in 2015.

Dr Shah is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Division of Hematology and Oncology. Dr Shah specializes in the treatment of lymphoma, CAR T-cell therapy, and stem cell transplant at Froedtert Hospital. Dr Shah is an active member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Speaking on novel CAR T-cell therapies for hematologic malignancies

Dr Shah’s research focuses on the use of CAR T-cell therapies in patients with non-Hodgkin and Hodgkin lymphomas. His most recent work is centered around the comparison of autologous transplants with CAR T-cell therapy in relapsed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).
