Academic History
Leo Rasche, MD, obtained his medical degree in 2009 from the University of Würzburg, Würzburg, Germany, before completing his Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship training in Internal Medicine and Hematology/Oncology. Prof. Rasche then underwent a 2-year postdoctoral Fellowship at the Myeloma Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), Little Rock, AR, and was subsequently appointed Assistant Professor of research at the UAMS.
At present, Prof. Rasche is an attending physician at the University Hospital of Würzburg and a Professor of clinical and translational myeloma research at the University of Würzburg.
Speaking on novel treatment options for multiple myeloma
Prof. Rasche’s interests include immunotherapy approaches for the treatment of multiple myeloma, medical imaging, tumor genomics, and tumor evolution. He has published over 100 articles in prestigious peer-reviewed journals and was awarded one of the highest awards by the German Society of Hematology and Oncology, the ArturPappenheim Preis.
