Julio Delgado, MD, PhD, is a Hematologist at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, and a Seconded National Expert at the European Medicines Agency (EMA), Amsterdam, Netherlands. Previously, he worked as a Consultant Hematologist at the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham, UK, and as Senior Physician at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, Barcelona, Spain.
Dr Delgado received his Bachelor of surgery (MBBS) and medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Madrid, Spain. He completed residency at the Hospital Universitario La Paz, Madrid, Spain, after which he worked as a Senior Clinical Fellow at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK.

Dr Delgado’s research focuses on lymphoproliferative disorders, in particular innovative trials with new molecules and therapies, including CAR-T cell therapy.
