Jan Bewersdorf

Academic History

Jan Philipp Bewersdorf, MD, is a resident at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York City, NY, training in general internal medicine. Dr Bewersdorf earned his medical degree in 2017 from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich, Munich, Germany. His interests lie in immunology of myeloid neoplasms and in 2020, he was awarded the ASH Abstract Achievement Award by the American Society of Hematology.

Speaking on the pathophysiology of AML and MDS

Dr Bewersdorf is an up-and-coming young researcher, focusing on acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). He seeks to improve understanding of the underlying pathophysiology of these diseases, particularly the role of the immune system.
