Hearn Jay Cho

Academic history

Hearn Cho, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in medicine, hematology and medical oncology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, NY, and is a member of the Immunology Institute at Mount Sinai. Prof. Cho is also Chief Medical Officer at The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

Prof. Cho received his medical degree from the Cornell University Medical College/New York Hospital. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of California in San Diego, CA. After that, Prof. Cho completed a fellowship in hematology-oncology at the New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and a fellowship in immunology at the Rockefeller University, New York, NY.

Speaking on multiple myeloma and immunotherapies

Prof. Cho’s clinical and research interest is in multiple myeloma and related diseases. His research focuses on novel targeted therapies for multiple myeloma, specifically combination strategies based on therapeutic tumor vaccines. Prof. Cho is currently Principal Investigator in two clinical trials (NCT03732703 and NCT04150965).
