Eric Padron, MD, is an Associate Member in the Department of Malignant Hematology and the Cancer Biology and Molecular Medicine Programs, and the Scientific Director of Malignant Hematology at Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL.
After completing his medical degree at the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL, Dr Padron underwent a Residency at the University of Florida Shands Hospital, Gainesville, FL, followed by a Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center.
Dr Padron has a research interest in myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), with an emphasis on chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML). He has over 100 publications and multiple active grants, including an NIH-R01 to develop patient-derived xenograft models in CMML, an NIH-R21 grant studying MALAT1 depletion in CMML, and an ACS Research Scholar Grant.
