Academic history

Claire Dearden, MBBS, MD, FRCP, FRCPath, trained in hematology at the Hammersmith, Royal Marsden and St George’s Hospitals in London and is currently a Consultant Haematologist at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. She is a member of many societies including the British and American Societies of Hematology, the NCRI CLL Trials group and is on the executive board of the International Hairy Cell Leukemia Foundation and the Society of Hematology Oncology (SOHO).

Dr Dearden has edited and co-authored many books and chapters in the field of hematology.

Speaking on lymphoid malignancies

Dr Dearden’s research focuses on mature B- and T-cell malignancies, including chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), hairy cell leukemia, and T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia. She is member of Professor Daniel Catovsky’s research group.
