Catherine Diefenbach

Academic history

Catherine S. Diefenbach, MD, completed her medical education at the University of Pennsylvania, PA, in 2001 and her residency in internal medicine at John Hopkins Hospital, MD, in 2004. She then obtained a fellowship in hemato-oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, NY, in 2008. Dr Deifenback is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and a Director of both Hematology Translational Research and the Clinical Lymphoma Program at the Perlmutter Cancer Center.

Speaking on lymphoma

Dr Diefenbach leads a national clinical trial for patients with relapsed Hodgkin’s lymphoma and also serves as the principal investigator for clinical trials with a focus on targeted therapies in lymphoma.
