Andre Baruchel

Academic history

Andre Baruchel, MD, is Head of the Pediatric Hematology-Immunology Department at the Université Hôpital Robert Debre, Paris, France, and a Professor of Pediatrics at the Université Paris Diderot, Paris, France. Prof. Baruchel obtained his medical degree from the Université Paris Descartes, Paris France, after which he trained in pediatric hemato-oncology as a fellow at the Saint-Lous Hospital, Paris, France.

Prof. Baruchel is the leader of the FRench Acute Lymphoblastic LEukemia Group (FRALLE), coordinator of the French national ALL protocol (CAALL-F01), and is a member of the Innovative Therapies for Children with Cancer (ITCC) consortium executive board. Prof.Baruchel has also served as a member of the
International Member Committee of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and has been a 10 year-member of the Data Safety Monitoring Committee of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG).

Prof. Baruchel’s recent research has included the treatment of pediatric and young adult patients with R/R acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) with CAR-T therapies.
