Academic history

Alessandra Tedeschi, MD, obtained her medical degree from the University Medical School in Bologna, Italy, followed by training in hemato-oncology at the Hematology Institute at Ancona University Medical, School, Italy. Dr Tedeschi, is a Consultant in Hematology in the Department of Hematology at the Niguarda Hospital, Milan, Italy.

Dr Tedeschi has published over 100 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology. Additionally, she is a member of the European Research Initiative for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, European Hematology Association, and the European Waldenström Macroglobulinemia Network.

Speaking on CLL treatment and clinical trials

Dr Tedeschi’s main research interest is the novel treatment approaches in hematological malignancies, particularly chronic lymphocytic leukemia and Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia. She is principal and co-investigator of several national and international trials in chronic lymphoproliferative disorders.
