Alessandra Larocca

Alessandra Larocca, MD, PhD, is a Consultant Physician of the Division of Hematology at the Department of Hematology-Oncology at the University Hospital Città della Salute e della Scienza, Torino, Italy.

Dr Larocca completed her medical degree at the University of Milan, Milan, Italy, cwhere she also compelted a residency. She subsequently pursued a PhD in Pathology and Experimental Oncology at the University of Torino, Torino, Italy.

Dr Larocca has published and co-published several papers and books in peer-reviewed journals.

Speaking on multiple myeloma

Dr Larocca’s main research interest is in multiple myeloma, with a focus on the diagnosis and clinical treatment of patients. She is particularly interested in the development of new biological molecules/monoclonal antibodies as a form of treatment for elderly multiple myeloma patients. Dr Larocca has been involved in several national and international clinical trials on the topic of lymphoproliferative and plasma cell disorders.
