ASH resources now available for clinicians and researchers during COVID-19 pandemic

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, The American Society of Hematology (ASH) have launched a webpage (https://www.hematology.org/covid-19) containing resources for hematologists caring for their patients and those continuing to conduct vital research during the outbreak.

The current ASH President Stephanie Lee, MD from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center commented that ‘ASH has developed a mechanism to help share useful information about the novel coronavirus with hematologists…it is a way to crowdsource materials and tips on caring for our patients and for one another’.

Resources on the page include federal policies affecting medical practice, guidance for treating patients with hematologic conditions who may have COVID-19, links to peer-reviewed research relating to hematology and the virus and tips for those who need to shut down their research during the outbreak. There is also a form for members to request information they need during this rapidly evolving time.
