Naveen Pemmaraju, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, presents the current and emerging treatment landscape in blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN), highlighting the high unmet need and that allogeneic stem cell transplantation (alloSCT) remains the only potentially curative option. Dr Pemmaraju reviews the two FDA-approved CD123-targeted agents, tagraxofusp and the antibody-drug conjugate pivekimab sunirine, as well as hyper-CVAD and emerging venetoclax-based regimens which can serve as a bridge to alloSCT. He also discusses central nervous system involvement, pediatric and AYA patients, CAR-T approaches, and novel targets beyond CD123. This presentation took place at the 8th International Workshop on Acute Leukemias (iwAL) in Cambridge, MA.
