SOHO 2026 | Pre-treatment biomarkers to predict response to T-cell engagers in multiple myeloma

Paola Neri, MD, PhD, University of Calgary, Calgary, Canada, discusses the development of pre-treatment biomarkers to predict response to T-cell engager therapy in multiple myeloma. She highlights soluble BCMA as a potential clinically useful biomarker, while ongoing work to characterize BCMA mutations could enable personalized treatment selection and identify patients who may benefit from another BCMA-directed therapy or a switch to GPRC5D targeting. This interview took place at the 14th Annual Meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO 2026) in Houston, TX.
