Esther Oliva, MD, London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, London, UK, discusses underappreciated issues in hematological malignancies, including fatigue, sleep disturbance, emotional distress, and social isolation, which can impact patients’ quality of life. Dr Oliva highlights the importance of direct patient reporting and the need to measure patient experience with the same seriousness as laboratory and survival endpoints. This interview took place at the 31st Congress of the European Hematology Association (EHA) in Stockholm, Sweden.
