ASCO 2026 | Insights into a Phase Ib/II trial of azacitidine, venetoclax, and ivosidenib in IDH1-mutated AML

Jennifer Marvin-Peek, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, provides insight into the findings from a Phase Ib/II trial (NCT03471260) investigating azacitidine, venetoclax, and ivosidenib in patients with IDH1-mutated acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Dr Marvin-Peek notes encouraging response rates, survival outcomes, and high rates of measurable residual disease (MRD) negativity observed with this triplet regimen. She also highlights the favorable safety of the combination, which appears comparable to doublet regimens. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
