BSH 2023 | Session highlights: the value of clinical hematology research groups

Gillian Lowe, MA, MB BChir, MRCP, FRCPath, PhD, University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham, UK, provides an overview of a session which took place at BSH 2023, which aimed to inform clinicians about participation in ongoing hematology research. Dr Lowe highlights talks from the session on the role of the Clinical Research Network (CRN) in facilitating research, the impacts of NIHR-supported clinical trials on daily hematology practice, and means of supporting clinicians interested in transitioning to research. This interview took place at the 63rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the British Society for Haematology (BSH) 2023, held in Birmingham, UK.
