Sirpa Leppa, MD, PhD, University of Helsinki and Helsinki University Hospital, Helsinki, Finland, outlines the results of an epidemiological study conducted in Finland which analyzed the overall survival (OS) and risk of transformation to large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL) in patients diagnosed with follicular lymphoma (FL). Overall, it was found that transformation was associated with an increased risk of death and shorter OS.
