ERIC 2024 | The role of metabolic programming in CLL biology and the importance of studying lymph node cells

Eric Eldering, PhD, Amsterdam UMC Cancer Center, Amsterdam, Netherlands, highlights the importance of metabolism in cancer cells, particularly in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). He emphasizes that most researchers study CLL biology using blood cells, but these are metabolically inert, so it is more relevant to study lymph node cells. This interview took place at the 2024 European Research Initiative on CLL (ERIC) Meeting in Barcelona, Spain.
