Nicole Kucine, MD, MS, Weill Cornell Medicine, New York, NY, discusses the use of interferon in pediatric patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), commenting on whether clinicians have become more comfortable with prescribing this therapeutic option in the pediatric patient population. Dr Kucine expresses hope that prospective clinical trials will be initiated to investigate the use of ropeginterferon in young patients. This interview took place at the 1st Annual MPN Workshop of the Carolinas in Asheville, NC.
