Norah Akinola, MBChB, PhD, Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ife, Nigeria, discusses the challenges of managing chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in Nigeria, where the disease is not prioritized due to its low prevalence compared to other health issues. She emphasizes the importance of equitable healthcare for all patients, regardless of their condition, and highlights her collaboration with fellow hematologists to enhance the understanding of CLL in the African context.
