Vivek Natarajan, Research Lead, Google Health AI, Google, San Francisco, CA, provides insight into how large language models (LLMs) may further our knowledge of disease genetics and biology, including in solid tumors and hematological malignancies. These models can synthesize vast amounts of information and present them to scientists and clinicians in a helpful way that generates new hypotheses more rapidly and efficiently. Vivek highlights the potential of this technology to accelerate scientific discovery and understanding at an unprecedented pace. This interview took place at the Shaping the Future of Medicine (STFOM 2024) congress held in Leipzig, Germany.
