EHA 2017 | Integrative therapy: beneficial for MPN patients?

Integrative therapy is gaining attention as an intervention which may support the treatment of patients suffering from myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN). However, evidence supporting its efficacy in MPN patients is limited. Here, Krisstina Gowin, DO from the Mayo Clinic, Pheonix, AZ talks us through the results of the SIMM study, which examined the effect of integrative therapies on factors relating to the patient such as symptom burden and quality of life. Dr Gowin also gives details about a separate study, MPN Yoga; discussing its aims, results and the next stage for the feasibility study. This interview was recorded at the European Hematology Association (EHA) 2017 Annual Congress in Madrid, Spain.
