ERIC 2022 | The interplay between genetic and environmental factors in MBL

Andreas Agathangelidis, PhD, Center for Research and Technology Hellas, Thermi, Greece, discusses the features of monoclonal B-cell lymphocytosis (MBL) and its cytogenetic resemblance to chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The observation that not all cases of MBL will evolve into CLL has provided clues as to the role of environmental factors, as well as the characteristic B-cell receptor properties in each disease. This interview took place at the 2022 European Research Initiative on CLL (ERIC) Meeting.
