Hussein Abbas, MD, PhD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, explores the functional role of different T-cell phenotypes in the bone marrow and peripheral blood in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). He mentions that CD4-expressing cells, as well as CD8-expressing cells, play an important role in mediating response and resistance to treatment. This interview took place at the 65th ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition, held in San Diego, CA.
