Paul Hengeveld, MD, PhD, Erasmus University, Rotterdam, Netherlands, discusses a study using proteomics to investigate B-cell receptor signaling proteins as biomarkers of progression in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The study found that a higher expression of the protein themis2 was associated with a shorter time-to-first-treatment (TTFT). This interview took place at the 2024 European Research Initiative on CLL (ERIC) Meeting in Barcelona, Spain.
