iwCLL 2023 | The genomics of RT and prognostic implications of RT characterization

In this video, Ferran Nadeu, PhD, IDIBAPS, Barcelona, Spain, discusses the findings of whole genome sequencing analysis of Richter’s transformation (RT). Dr Nadeu highlights the extensive genomic complexity of RT which is not seen in the CLL disease state which precedes transformation, and emphasizes the importance of distinguishing between clonally derived and clonally unrelated RT due to the difference in their genomic landscape and the available treatments for the two distinct malignancies. This interview was recorded at the biennial International Workshop on Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (iwCLL) 2023 meeting, held in Boston, MA.
