ASH 2020 | Impact of COVID-19 on MPNs patients

Jeanne Palmer, MD, Mayo Clinic, Phoenix, AZ, presents the preliminary data from a survey-based study investigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the lifestyle and quality of life of patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). Although the proportion of patients that contracted COVID-19 was very low, patients reported impacts on their daily life including stress, fatigue, and clinical care. Further studies are warranted to explore the long-term effects of the pandemic on patients with MPN. This interview took place during the 62nd American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting and Exposition, 2020.
