ASH 2024 | The role of the patient in decision-making in R/R follicular lymphoma

Lorna Warwick, BSc, Lymphoma Coalition, Toronto, Canada, emphasizes the importance of shared decision-making in relapsed/refractory (R/R) follicular lymphoma (FL). Ms Warwick highlights that physicians should actively seek out patients’ input and preferences and discuss these with them in detail, taking into account each individual’s unique experience. An ongoing conversation about treatment options is crucial as patients’ needs and priorities may change over time, and it’s essential to revisit and adapt the discussion as their lives and disease evolve. This interview took place at the 66th ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition, held in San Diego, CA.
