Vittorio Bellotti, MD, PhD, University of Pavia, Pavia, Italy, briefly highlights some of the topics that were presented in a session at ISA 2022, which focused on closing the gap of basic and clinical research in amyloidosis. Dr Bellotti also discusses the value of generating and improving models used to understand the biology of this disease. This interview took place at the 2022 International Symposium on Amyloidosis (ISA) held in Heidelberg, Germany.
