TA-TMA is a very severe complication after transplant and it could have a very high mortality. So everyone is worrying that because the early detection of TA-TMA is very important and early treatment is very important. So we want to see if the cytokines could help us to predict early TA-TMA.

TA-TMA is a very severe complication after transplant and it could have a very high mortality. So everyone is worrying that because the early detection of TA-TMA is very important and early treatment is very important. So we want to see if the cytokines could help us to predict early TA-TMA.

So in this study recently published in BMT, we find that IL-6 is a very good predictor of the TA-TMA occurrence. And we wish that these results could help the clinicians to make their decisions and to treat those TA-TMA patients as early as possible. And of course, we need more studies, bigger studies from our colleagues to prove that this is really a very good indicator of TA-TMA, and we are looking forward to that.
