ASH 2023 | A machine learning model to analyze histopathological tissue in DLBCL

Swaminathan Iyer, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, discusses the utilization of deep learning algorithms to analyze whole-slide images in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) pathology. This study used a self-trained computer vision pipeline learning system to classify subtypes of DLBCL and predict outcomes by identifying specific features in histopathological tissue. This interview took place at the 65th ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition, held in San Diego, CA.
