CAR-T Meeting 2024 | The role of splenic irradiation in transplant for patients with myelofibrosis

Nico Gagelmann, MD, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Hamburg, Germany, comments on the role of splenic irradiation in the transplant procedure for patients with myelofibrosis (MF). Splenic irradiation significantly reduces splenomegaly, a risk factor for relapse following transplantation, and this may decrease the rate of morbidity and mortality in patients. This interview took place at the EBMT-EHA 6th European CAR T-cell Meeting in Valencia, Spain.
