IWWM-12 2024 | DNA methylation and gene transcription in WM versus MGUS
Stephen Ansell, MD, PhD, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, discusses a study investigating DNA methylation and gene transcription in Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia (WM) compared to monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS). The study found an increase in cytokine production during the MGUS phase, followed by a decrease in the active pathways as the disease progresses. This interview took place at the 12th International Workshop on Waldenström’s Macroglobulinemia (IWWM-12) in Prague, Czech Republic.
