He advises investigating underlying PIDs in patients with autoimmune cytopenias, lymphoid, or myeloid malignancies, especially with a family history or history of infection. These disorders can be cured with a bone marrow transplant. This interview took place at the 50th Annual Meeting of the EBMT in Glasgow, Scotland.
