Jean-Jacques Kiladjian, MD, PhD, Saint-Louis Hospital & Paris Diderot University, Paris, France, provides practical advice for physicians utilizing interferon for the treatment of patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). Prior to initiating interferon therapy, contraindications must be carefully considered. Prof. Kiladjian also highlights the importance of starting with low doses to ensure patients can tolerate the agent and remain on it long-term. This interview took place at the 1st Annual MPN Workshop of the Carolinas in Asheville, NC.
